Biography
Derry was appointed Managing Partner in June 2011, having previously been Partner and Head of the Management Consulting Department for the last 10 years.
Services & Specialism
An engineer by trade Derry worked with the Philips Group of Electronics companies and was general manager with two of Dunlop's subsidiary companies in the automotive industry prior to joining BDO.
Derry has led BDO teams in projects ranging from: the Masterplan for the development of the Docklands in Dublin: to project specific planning and development projects with a number of county councils and public/state bodies.
Examples include:
- The Limerick/ Foynes port merger project
- Dun Laoghaire Harbour Company development of Port assets
- The Digital Hub
- Various UCD projects.
More recently, Derry has been project partner on a number of high profile PPP/public sector capital projects including the UCD Gateway Project, Schools Bundle 2 and the new National Paediatric Hospital.
Derry is a council member of the Dublin Chamber of Commerce, having been re-elected for a second term earlier this year.
