What drew you to Tax, and how did you know it was the right starting point?
My interest in Tax started during college when I had a tax module that I found interesting and engaging. I was drawn to the way it combined analytical thinking with real-world application and how it could make an impact for both individuals and companies. That early exposure convinced me that Tax was an ideal starting point. It offers ongoing learning, complexity, and the chance to develop in a field that is always evolving.
What made you feel BDO was the right place to begin your career?
BDO was not initially at the top of my list, but after researching the firm and speaking with former and current employees, I heard it was a great firm for support and professional development.
What really stood out was the responsibility given early on, combined with exam support and study leave. I knew BDO would be a place where I could learn quickly and develop both technically and professionally.
How is the support at BDO helping shape your journey as a trainee?
The support I have received from my team and the firm has been very important in my development. Having access to approachable, experienced colleagues has improved my technical knowledge and has been a great resource coming up to exams. Overall, the combination of structured support and hands-on experience has shaped my training contract in a very positive way.
