BDO Corporate Finance Limerick assist Thermohouse Ltd

30 July 2019

BDO Ireland are delighted to have provided corporate finance services to Thermohouse Ltd  (part of the Michael Cronin Readymix Group) to help secure the requisite finance for the development of 61 turnkey, rapid-build, energy-efficient residential housing units announced in Killarney last week and due for completion in early 2020.  Launched by the Minister for Housing Eoghan Murphy last week (26 July), this is a fantastic development for Thermohouse, Clúid Housing and for Kerry County Council and positively contributes to Ireland’s social housing requirement.

Michael Cronin, founder and Managing Director of Thermohouse Ltd, describes the homes as “future-proofed” and said, “as well as being faster to construct, they are more energy-efficient”.  He added: “The Thermohouse system is manufactured at our Killarney factory before being delivered to sites throughout Ireland and the UK and Mr Cronin advises that the system is up to 60% faster to construct than traditional construction with a minimum design life of 60 years.”

In particular Mr Cronin highlighted the invaluable advice received from BDO Corporate Finance in both accessing the finance and indeed during the development phase saying “BDO and in particular Brian McEnery and Stephen O’Flaherty provided invaluable assistance throughout the whole process through pragmatic and valuable advice that guided us successfully through the financing stages of the project and into delivery”.

The BDO team providing the services was led by Brian McEnery, Partner and Stephen O’Flaherty, Director within BDO Corporate Finance Limerick, who both wish the development and MC Group every success.
