BDO appoints Ian Clarke as Partner and Head of Transfer Pricing



Dublin, 6 October 2025 – BDO Ireland has announced the appointment of Ian Clarke as Partner and Head of Transfer Pricing, further strengthening the firm’s specialist tax advisory capabilities and reinforcing its position as a leading advisor to both domestic and international clients.

Ian brings more than 20 years’ experience in Transfer Pricing (TP), having held senior leadership roles in several global locations including the UK, India, Southeast Asia, Switzerland and Ireland. Over the course of his career, Ian has advised clients across a wide spectrum of industries, developing a reputation for his expertise across the entire TP lifecycle from policy design and business model planning through operational TP implementation, compliance and controversy management.  

His experience spans a diverse client base, from domestic Irish businesses to global multinationals. Ian has advised some of the world’s leading companies in sectors such as aircraft leasing, banking and financial services, consumer products, life sciences, real estate and technology.  

Ian has played a key role in managing complex cross-border tax issues, advising clients on projects including supply chain restructuring, financial transactions and intangible assets. 

He has successfully led negotiations on tax incentives, Mutual Agreement Procedures, and Advance Pricing Agreements with tax authorities in a wide range of jurisdictions.
