
Dorothy has 28 years’ experience working with businesses (SMEs to PLCs) & Government on sustainability across multiple sectors based in Ireland, UK, USA, Brussels, China & Singapore. She has joined BDO Ireland as Partner and Head of Sustainability. She has an extensive track record leading and delivering sustainability and ESG projects across financial services, construction, real estate, FMCG/retail, distribution/warehousing, transport, healthcare, food and ICT.
Previous roles include Head of Sustainability at Davy/Bank of Ireland Group, Brown Thomas Group, House of Fraser/Sanpower, environmental policy maker at the European Commission, and the UK Department of the Environment and Enterprise Ireland.
She has been the Sustainability Advisor to the HRH Prince of Wales International Sustainability Unit and a sustainability consultant with Accenture, Willis Towers Watson, and The Sustainable Business Group.

She holds a PhD and an MSc in environmental science from Imperial College London, as well as a Diploma in Company Direction from the Irish Institute of Directors.
She is a member/previous Co-Chair of the Central Bank of Ireland Climate Forum and board member and Fellow of the Sustainability Professionals’ Association, Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (ICRS).
A thought leader on sustainability topics, she is the author of Unpacking CSRD with IBEC. She is an Adjunct Lecturer for the TCD Business School’s "Sustainable Development for Business" Postgraduate Certificate.
