Gerard Meehan

Gerard is a Director in the BDO Private Clients Tax department. He has over 22 years’ experience in tax, joining BDO from a Big Four firm where he worked in the Private Clients Tax team for over 12 years, having previously worked in both specialist and international advisory practices.

Services & Specialism

Gerard Meehan has significant expertise in income tax, capital gains tax, capital acquisitions tax, and certain aspects of corporation tax (particularly in relation to closely held companies), specifically in relation to succession planning. He also has significant experience representing clients in their dealings with the Revenue Commissioners.   

Gerard is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland, a Chartered Tax Adviser and a Trust and Estate Practitioner with the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
