Ciara is a Director on our Financial Services Risk and Advisory team. She has extensive experience in the FS sector, specialising in regulatory risk. Ciara’s team provides advice and assurance across all industries in the FS sector on regulatory compliance, upstream risk, regulatory assurance, regulatory remediation, risk management, and governance.

SERVICES & SPECIALISM

Ciara has over 15 years’ experience in the FS sector in Regulatory and Risk Management. Prior to joining BDO in 2022, Ciara worked for a large Professional Services firm in Management Consulting, specialising in Regulatory Risk. In addition, Ciara worked for 10 years at an industry level in senior positions in a pillar Bank and large credit servicing firm.

Ciara has led regulatory engagements ranging from Central Bank authorisations, process design and implementation, process effectiveness, governance frameworks, regulatory interpretation and engagement.

Ciara’s experience spans a range of sectors, including Banking, Insurance/Reinsurance, Credit Servicing, Retail Credit Firms, Payment Institutions, E-Money Firms and Credit Unions. Ciara understands the ever-changing regulatory landscape and the risks that organisations face and how to address them. Ciara has a practical approach to deliver solution driven recommendations that add value to organisations and the regulatory environment they operate in.
