EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Stewart is an audit Partner and member of the firm’s Leadership Team. He is Chair of the Quality & Risk Committee, which oversees the development and implementation of the firm’s Quality Framework and Risk Management Policy and previously held the roles of Head of Audit and Head of Clients & Markets. Stewart has over 30 years' experience in auditing, financial reporting and business advisory.

He represents BDO Global on IFAC’s Forum of Firms and Transnational Auditors’ Committee and is a member of ACCA’s Global Forum for Audit & Assurance.

Stewart is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA).

Stewart’s clients include some of Ireland’s most successful companies in the real estate & construction; food processing; hotel & hospitality; and distribution sectors. Many of these are fast growing companies which operate across multi-jurisdictions.  

He has successfully assisted business owners who are considering expanding by service or geography; seeking private equity investment; exploring an acquisition or carve out; planning for leadership succession; or targeting key milestones; by delivering robust assurance and financial reporting insight.

Led by responsive senior advisors with deep industry and technical experience, his team use advanced technology and data analytics, coupled with professional judgment, to ensure efficient information exchange, real-time project status, regulatory compliance and proactive issue resolution.

Community involvement

Stewart is a board member of FamiliBase, a “not-for-profit” multi-funded community based organisation dedicated to the delivery of programmes to benefit vulnerable children, young people and families in some of the most disadvantaged and marginalised community areas in Dublin.
